IMPORTANT FINDINGS OBTAINED
Professor Dr. Duran, in a statement to the AA correspondent, said that they obtained important findings regarding pre-flu prevention with the “Investigation of the Activities of Probiotic Microorganisms Against Important Human Pathogens” project supported by the University’s Scientific Research Projects (BAP) Coordination Unit.

EFFECTIVE PROTECTION UP TO 10 TIMES
Duran stated that they are working on yoghurt and yoghurt juice, which contains many bacteria, and gave the following information about the study:

“We have achieved very striking results in our findings on animal experiments in yogurt bacteria. One of the most important branches of protection from infections is immunoglobulins produced by our immune system, that is, antibodies. In our studies, protective antibodies (protective liquids) up to 2 to 10 times compared to the control group are fed regularly with yogurt bacteria. “This means that animals fed with yogurt are up to 10 times more protected against upper respiratory infections, especially influenza.”

WAIT AT LEAST 24 HOURS
Stating that the flu is a serious respiratory disease, Duran noted that with their study, they have determined that consumption of fermented yoghurt and yoghurt juice, which contains a high number of bacteria, for at least 24 hours, protects against similar respiratory infections, especially influenza. Duran said that the most important way to protect against viral infections such as influenza is to strengthen the immune system and eat a balanced diet.

WHAT ARE BACTERIA, IT’S BENEFIT
Duran, who described the most important condition of a balanced diet as the consumption of fermented foods with beneficial microorganisms, stressed that yogurt was the leading one. Duran suggested that a useful yogurt should be fermented with high bacterial yeast and kept in a warm environment for at least 24 hours or even sour taste. Stating that the taste of yoghurt means that the beneficial bacteria in it turn into a sourish state, Duran noted that the more bacteria reproduction occurs, the more useful yogurt will be consumed.

Describing that yoghurt should be consumed at home, if possible, to protect the diseases caused by the factors caused by upper respiratory tract infections such as viruses or bacteria.
